၂၀၀၃ခုႏွစ္ ေမလ ၇ရက္ေန႔မွ စတင္ကာ ၂၀၀၄ခုႏွစ္ ေအာက္တိုဘာ ၁၆ရက္မွာမွ အဆံုး သတ္သြားတဲ့ အာဆင္နယ္ရဲ. ၄၉ပဲြဆက္ ရံႈးပဲြမရွိ စံခ်ိန္ဟာ အဂၤလန္ ေဘာလံုး သမိုင္းမွာ အခ်ိန္ကာလ ဘယ္ေလာက္ၾကာ အထိ မွတ္တမ္းတစ္ခုအၿဖစ္ က်န္ခဲ့မယ္ဆိုတာကို ေစာင့္ၾကည့္ရမွာပဲ ၿဖစ္ပါတယ္။

U Thant, who served as Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1961 to 1971, was chosen to head the world body when Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold was killed in an air crash in September 1961. “တရြာလံုး အိမ္ေျခ (၁၄၀၀) ေက်ာ္ရွိတယ္၊ မိသားစု (၁၈၀၀) နဲ႔ ကေလးလူႀကီးေပါင္း (၉၀၀၀)ေလာက္က အိုးမဲ့အိမ္မဲ့ျဖစ္ေနတယ္၊ အဲလိုျဖစ္ေနေတာ့ တခ်ဳိ႕က နီးစပ္ရာ ရြာေတြ၊ ေနာက္ထိုင္းႏိုင္ငံဘက္ ထြက္သြားတာေတြ ျဖစ္ေနတယ္၊ ေက်ာင္းေနအရြယ္ကေလးေတြလဲ ဒုကၡေရာက္ကုန္တယ္” ဟု ေဒသခံက ဆက္ေျပာသည္။
ထို႔အျပင္ ထားဝယ္ၿမိဳ႕ ကေမ်ာဂန္းတံတားအနီး ဥခရံ ရပ္ကြက္တြင္ ၿမိဳ႕သစ္တိုးခ်ဲ႕ရန္ဟုဆိုကာ ၿပီးခဲ့သည့္ လဆန္းပိုင္းက လယ္ဧက (၁၀၀၀) ေက်ာ္ႏွင့္ ဥယ်ာဥ္ၿခံမ်ားစြာကို ၿမိဳ႕နယ္ (မယက)ႏွင့္ ခယက တို႔ေပါင္းကာ သိမ္းယူခဲ့ၿပီး ေလ်ာ္ေၾကးမေပးသည့္အျပင္ ေရာင္းခ်မႈမ်ား ျပဳလုပ္ေနလွ်က္ရွိသည္။
“သူတို႔က အဲဒီမွာလည္း သိမ္းၿပီးေတာ့ ေျမကြက္႐ိုက္ၿပီး သိန္း(၄၀) ကေန (၁၀၀) ၾကားကို ျပန္ေရာင္းေနတယ္၊ ေျမသိမ္းခံလိုက္ရတဲ့ သူေတြကို တန္ရာတန္ေၾကး ေလ်ာ္ေပးတာလည္း မရွိဘူး” ဟု ေျပာသည္။
၂၀၀၅ ခုႏွစ္ႏွင့္ ၂၀၀၈ ခုႏွစ္မ်ားတြင္လည္း ေလယာဥ္ကြင္းေဖာက္လုပ္ရန္အတြက္ ေဒသခံ သံုးပံု တပံုခန္႔ အိမ္ယာ၊ ဥယ်ာဥ္၊ ၿခံေျမမ်ားသိမ္းဆည္းခံခဲ့ရၿပီး ေလ်ာ္ေၾကးမရွိခဲ့ေၾကာင္း ေဒသခံက ဆက္ေျပာသည္။
“အဲဒီတုန္းကလည္း အခုလိုဘဲ ဘာမွ ေလ်ာ္ေၾကးေပးတာမရွိဘူး၊ အကုန္သိမ္းတာ၊ အိမ္ေျခက ၃၇၀ နဲ႔ ၿခံလယ္ေတြ ဧက (၇၀၀) ေက်ာ္ အသိမ္းခံခဲ့ရတယ္၊ ေဒသခံ တေယာက္အေနနဲ႔ ေျပာရရင္ေတာ့ ေတာ္ေတာ္ကို က်ေနာ္တို႔ ဆံုး႐ံႈးခဲ့ရတယ္၊ ဒုကၡလဲေရာက္တယ္” ဟု ေျပာသည္။
